This family wanted their family portraits done on their property near Weston Lakes. Their driveway was gorgeous and perfect for pictures! Avesta came by to do momma’s makeup and hair and both sisters hair! It’s so nice to get all dolled up for portraits. You deserve this experience!

We did each of their little ones individually and they rocked it! Look how cute they all look.

Cruz took a little convincing, but he did amazing! Look how stunning his momma is!

Sweet Addison did amazing for her newborn portraits. She has the most perfect glowing skin.

Big brother Jaxson wasn’t so sure at first, but he ended up doing great! At two years old, you never know what to expect. I’m in love with them all!

I always book hair and makeup for my mommas. When you are showing up for a morning session with a newborn, you do not have time to get ready. You are so tired! So that is an extra little plus I like to provide for my moms.

Locations are everything! Thats why in our consultation we will go over the vision you have for your portrait session. From open fields, water, forested areas, or city centers, we will find what meets your needs. I love being creative for your session.

Here is a location near Jordan Ranch that I love! Jordan ranch is technically Fulshear, but it is closer to Katy than Fulshear. It doesn’t make sense ha ha. These old oil tanks are beautiful! I love bringing old antiques into our new world visions.

I had the honor of photographing the Forrestier family this past week. Tabitha is the owner of Annie Banannie Clothing. She made the girls dresses and the boys vests in this portrait. Go check her out!

This momma rocks being a mom of 6, homeschooling, and OWNING her own business! How incredible is that. Dad owns his own business as well!

Cypress family photographer MJ’s Photography

Cypress family photographer – You can’t possible see the beauty of this mountain through a portrait. I tried my best, but this scenery is jaw dropping.

The anxiety of getting this perfect portrait was over the top. Being flown over 2000 miles and knowing that they want a 30×45 acrylic print of this in their house, made me extremely anxious! But we got it! <3

We did two locations in front of Mt. Rainier, this was another. We only had around 3-4 minutes because there was a big group of landscape photographer behind us trying to photograph the sunset on Mt. Rainier.

Aren’t they perfect? Can’t imagine a better couple.

While waiting for the sun to be perfect for the mountain shots, we went into a valley to capture some other family portraits.

The smiles and the happiness you can feel from looking at their babies sweet faces, make this session everything. There will be a time when you can no longer hold them in your arms, swing them in the air, or kiss them all over. When that time comes, it will mean everything to look back at these portraits and feel the memories.

(Just typing that, I had to run to my babies and kiss them all over…go ahead and do it to yours) <3

Now this one I am SO proud of. If you know Carson, you know he brings Wild to the nickname Wild child lol! He is so fun and full of energy, so getting him to snuggle for a picture is not on his agenda. So this one is everything! And isn’t momma gorgeous? Mannnnnn she looks good!

I love capturing family portraits. This family drove 4 hours one way for their portraits! I have captured Eliana and Gage since it was just them two, now look at them.

Eliana and Gage are the amazing couple that flew me to Jamaica to capture their wedding.

Zayden was all about pictures! He was such a ham.

I had the honor of traveling to Sulphur Springs to photograph the Gulbas family at their property there. It is a gorgeous place and about 2 hours from East Texas. It was a first time for me and I really enjoyed the drive.

We all know with family pictures, you can never forecast how the little ones are going to act, but all three were amazing! Look how much fun they had and the beautiful memories that were captured.

I cannot say enough amazing things about MJ and her team! We just welcomed our precious daughter Ava in October. Since this was our first baby, we wanted to make sure that we captured this special time in our lives. The minute I initially spoke to MJ on the phone, I knew she was the perfect fit for what we were looking for in a photographer. She is so genuine and engaging and I can tell that this is her passion and you can clearly see that passion captured in our photos. The entire process from beginning to end was an absolute dream. Her and her MUA, Avesta, made the effort to make sure our pictures came out exactly how we wanted them. Not to mention MJ was so patient with us as we struggled to narrow down our choices for our maternity and our newborn sessions. I am not kidding when I say that was the HARDEST part. All of them were so amazing! Once we were able to narrow it down, her and her hubby made a special house visit to help get our pictures up on the wall. Like I said, an absolute dream! I am a portrait photographer who lives in Fulshear, Texas, right outside of Katy and Houston. I specialize in maternity, newborn, headshots and family portraits. I service Fort Bend; Cypress, Katy, Fulshear, The Woodlands, The Heights and Houston areas.

I started my business, MJ’s Photography, in 2014. My love for my daughter Emma Lyn, ignited my passion for photography. Just the same as I treat her portraits, with passion, love, and creativity, I strive to bring out each person’s unique identity and capture their true personality. These encounters drive my passion for photography and challenge me to use my tools in new ways. This is my artistic expression.

This is not a job for me. I love outdoor family and maternity portrait sessions, and in-studio newborn sessions.
