If you have kids, you know exactly what I am going to say. You literally blink and they are grown. I’m not sure how my daughter is already 4, I’m pretty certain I just had her yesterday. It goes by way to fast! She loves looking back at our family portraits and I know she will really cherish them when she is grown.

We can’t forget about our fur babies! I just love when clients bring them to be included in their family portraits. They are family too. This one was blown up on a giant canvas and looked amazing!

In family sessions, we don’t stress. We play, we laugh, we live. The favorite images are the ones that are not planned. The ones where you are living in the moment and the love is pouring out through the image. That is what I want to capture for you, that is what you will want hanging on your wall!

Hi everyone!

We have made the big move from Killeen/Fort Hood to Longview/Hallsville area in East Texas to Houston/Katy Texas. I am now a Houston photographer! My husband decided to get out of the military and become a civilian! Huge life changer for us. He got a job here in Hallsville with BP, then moved us to Fulshear/Katy/Houston.

I absolutely adore all of my clients back in Central and East Texas and truly miss that area. I will be back for some mini sessions to see some of you guys. Houston photographer

This area in Longview is gorgeous. I love the trees here and cannot wait to capture the beautiful scenery here. My two girls are settling in and hopefully Elise decides to sleep through the night again in the future. (sleepy mom vibes here). Houston is a lot different than Killeen and Longview! But we are loving it.

Emma Lyn has started at a preschool 3x a week and loves it! She is making some new friends…even though there is only one other girl in her class. She has decided that she can play with boys for a bit.

The best thing about a new area? All of the restaurants that you haven’t tried. We love our food and there are so many new places to try. Here is a picture of me and the girls.

I cannot decide which one I like doing best. Being a maternity photographer or a newborn photographer.

There is nothing more exciting than getting to sit down and talk to a new mom or a mom who is having another baby, about what is to come. Nothing in this world is more exciting than talking to someone about bringing another life into this world.

For new moms, its that excitement of the unknown. For moms like Audra, where Virginia is her third baby, it is all about how the siblings will be with the new baby. It is about how life will change so much, for the better of course. It never gets old and its a conversation I love having over and over with different moms during their maternity sessions.

Audra’s maternity session took place in Central Texas. She owns so many acres of gorgeous property. The different shots were endless. This one is one of my favorites, a country sunset.

Audra was absolutely stunning in her portraits. After each gown and pose, I would have a new favorite.

This shot of her on the tree turned out gorgeous! If you guys only knew the struggle behind this image. Thankfully her husband was there to help get her up and down, it was not as easy as it looks! But she was able to sit back, smile, and pull off an amazing maternity picture.

This pose with just the maternity belly is my favorite. I always document this one! Years later, it’s amazing to look back at and picture your little baby all curled up in your belly.

When she was in the eggplant couture gown, I thought it was my favorite. Then she changed into the gold couture gown and I was even more in love. She just radiates beauty.

At the end, she knew she wanted some maternity water shots and I am so glad she did because they turned out amazing!

Military Homecomings are such a special event. A short ceremony is put together for each unit coming home. Families and soldiers have been apart from anywhere from 9 months to a year. It takes such strong men and strong women to endure these deployments! Being a Houston family photographer is an honor. It is one of the most emotional and enjoyable sessions that I do. It is a moment that can only be captured once. Understanding the importance of capturing “the moment,” is so important. That first glance, the first hug, the first kiss, and those tears of joy. It all matters, it all tells the beautiful story.

The Fischer’s family photos in Houston meant even more to me, Laura and I are close friends. Seeing their family whole again was nothing short of amazing. When Laura cried, I cried. Who wouldn’t cry during a homecoming? They are so full of emotion! I cry at every single one!

I get there early with all my clients. We capture the moments of them waiting, texting their soldier, and seeing those white buses pull up with them inside. This documents their story from start to finish! Every client deserves their story to be told beautifully.

MJ does Family photography Houston texas and she truly loves capturing the precious memories of families.

The Skala family originally inquired about getting maternity portraits done with their 15 month old daughter, Vera. She also revealed that they were expecting twins, but were waiting to find out the gender of the two babies at birth! We set up a date and two days before their appointment, she went into labor. She delivered two beautiful baby girls! Babies do not wait for anything, not even for their mother to get her Maternity portraits taken.

We switched her maternity portrait session to a family portrait session and I was so excited to capture this truly amazing part of their lives. Three baby girls under the age of two!

During their family portraits, all three baby girls did amazing. Mom and Dad were so proud of all three of their baby girls and it beamed through their faces. They sure do have a lot to be proud of!

Capturing the true personalities of families is what I strive for. Anyone can press a button on a camera, but it takes a true professional to make the images come alive. To capture love, happiness, and images that deserve to hang for everyone to see. That is my goal for every family portrait session and why I take pride in being a family photographer! Of course the newborn photographer side of me just had to capture some of just the twins!

Twin Boys 1st Birthday – Baby Photography Sugar Land, TX

I am a Baby photography sugar land tx who enjoys photographing 1st Birthdays! What’s harder than having a toddler? Having two toddlers of course! I was honored to be chosen as their photographer in the Sugar Land and Houston area to capture their First Birthday. Ezra and Enzo were a joy to photograph. Ezra was as fast as lighting, while Enzo would take his time getting from A to B. Photographing them in the same shot took a little bit of work, but we got amazing portraits of both of the Birthday boys. Two completely different personalities in two adorable little boys! Their daddy is currently deployed and he is scheduled to come back soon! I know they are all ready to be back together.

Of course we had to get a couple portraits of them in the Bluebonnets! They are on a perfect piece of land around the Killeen Texas area. There are quite a few fields of them in the Killeen and Temple area, you just have to be on the lookout! I just love these of the boys!

Mommy even ordered some cute shirts for their First Birthday portrait session! Remember how I said they moved at different speeds? This is how we got some of them together, a crate! <3 By the end, mommy, grandma, and myself were tired. The boys…not so much 😉

Traveling throughout Europe-Houston Couple Photographer

Every couple of years my husband and I decide to travel. Most of the time it is throughout Europe, this time was no different, but of course we traveled to different places.

We started our trip by flying to London. We stayed 3 nights total. It was everything I imagined. Beautiful city! If you ever have the chance to go, do! Of course the first thing you notice is the cars traveling on the opposite side of the road and the vehicles have the steering wheel on the opposite side as well. Every time we crossed the street, I was so confused!

We visited some amazing sites while we were there. The Tower of London was an all day affair. It was fantastic. In the states, we don’t have things that date back that far, so it is always amazing to see them in person. It dates back to to 1078AD. Insane! It was used as a prison for a while and you could see the markings people left while being detained. Prayers, pleads, confessions of innocence, you name it.

Here is one of the torture methods they used at the Tower of London. It was a stretcher…

Ravens are seen all throughout the Tower of London. They are not afraid and come quite close. Their presence is traditionally believed to protect the crown and the tower; a superstition holds that “if the Tower of London ravens are lost or fly away, the Crown will fall and Britain with it”.

We also walked around the city streets in London. Westminster is a popular place to go. It is known as the Parliament of the UK. Of course it also has Buckingham palace, where the royal family lives! I didn’t take any professional images, but we of course snapped some selfies 😉

I forced my husband to be my “model” so that I could capture this gorgeous sunset on the London streets! <3

Next we fly to Amsterdam, Holland. The Netherlands captital!

The Gregory’s are complete again! Weston lakes family photographer

I am a Weston lakes family photographer in the houston area. I love capturing those special moments that cannot be relived! Have you ever watched a military homecoming? Even if it wasn’t your own family, the emotions were soaring. You put yourself into their shoes and you feel what they feel. You start thinking about the past 9 months and how different your own life would have been, if this had been you.

If you haven’t watched one, there is a television series about it called “Coming Home” on Lifetime. Watch it, you will feel the emotion!

The Gregory’s Homecoming was located at Fort Hood, Texas. Andrew left when baby Jack was just 2 months old. He is now almost 11 months old and walking! What a change! This family gave a huge sacrifice. Dad missed these 9 months of Jack’s life. We know how fast little one’s grow in that first year, the milestones that they achieve. Mom had to be a single parent to a newborn and run everything back on the home front. Thank goodness for facetime and skype, but it is not the same. Don’t forget to thank a soldier.

I decided today…I do not take enough pictures of Emma Lyn playing…being herself. I am always so busy building my business in Fulshear that I sometimes forget why I even started this. Her. I love what I do, but it is so time consuming. There is no time outside of her and photography. I miss a lot of events, get togethers, and friend time because I want to be successful. I can deal with that. But I cannot deal with missing all of the little moments she provides for me. So I’m not. I will capture more memories of my own daughter. Her silly expressions, her personality, and most of all her heart!

Mom’s have it rough. We want to do something other than be a mom, but when we do, we feel guilty. At least I do. Everyone says we can’t have it both ways. But can we? Can we do both? I think so. I think it is tiresome and I think your free time will be non-existent (not that there was much to begin with.) But I think if you want something, go for it. Our kids are not holding us back, they are why we are doing it! (Don’t worry, I have to keep telling myself that too 😉 )

Here she is today peeping at the neighbors in Fulshear. She swears they have a dinosaur.

I had the pleasure of taking this amazing family’s portraits! Mommy and Daddy are both military. Little Grant is 4 months old and did so well for his pictures. He was so sick and had just gotten out of the hospital, but still managed to give me some smiles. By the end, he just couldn’t stay awake and it made for the cutest photo.

I know for a mom it is stressful to do family portraits. Let me help you. I will choose your location, help you pick out your outfits (even supply some outfits as well), coordinate your hair and makeup (as well as pay for it), and guide you through all of your poses. It does not have to be a stressful event.
