We had a bad storm here a couple weeks ago and this giant pine tree got completely uprooted from the ground. We went over there and he was so amazed by this tree. So I figured, hey let’s capture him being little!
Here he is throwing pine cones at me! We had a blast.
Kannon is 3 and so full of energy! He would have stayed playing on this tree all day if I would have let him. When photographing a toddler, you have to let them play! Let them run around and capture them in their own environment. Don’t make them sit and do what you want, explore their world!
This may be my favorite picture of him! Just crawling on the tree, enjoying being little.

Wysteria is blooming in Texas! Isn’t it gorgeous? If you want to book around the spring flower March and April are the best in Texas. Every state is different to capture the natural blooms, so make sure you reach out to your photographer to get the best dates.
Look at all of the gorgeous wild flowers blooming in the fields. I love them. Some fields have solid yellow, some have solid blue! Spring is beautiful here.

I love capturing family portraits. This family drove 4 hours one way for their portraits! I have captured Eliana and Gage since it was just them two, now look at them.
Eliana and Gage are the amazing couple that flew me to Jamaica to capture their wedding.

I had the honor of traveling to Sulphur Springs to photograph the Gulbas family at their property there. It is a gorgeous place and about 2 hours from East Texas. It was a first time for me and I really enjoyed the drive.

Mom wanted a great picture of her three babies together and I think we did just that. Look at those smiles.

Annie Banannie custom made her yellow dress and it was inspired by Belle! She did a fantastic job and truly made her day special.

Photographers Sugar Land Texas – MJ’s Photography featuring a family in the Sunflowers
Texas has the most gorgeous sunflowers! We traveled a little over an hour to a small town that has rows of them! It was a very small town, you can’t miss it. We parked on the side of the road and jumped right in. They are about an hour out of Houston/Katy!
We did some mommy and me portraits of Ashley and Evelyn in the sunflowers and they turned out amazing! No posing, just playing with mommy.
Sunset is the perfect time for portraits. It gives that hazy, warm, even lighting for images. Add in the sunflowers and it is so golden! I love the look of these.

I cannot say enough amazing things about MJ and her team! We just welcomed our precious daughter Ava in October. Since this was our first baby, we wanted to make sure that we captured this special time in our lives. The minute I initially spoke to MJ on the phone, I knew she was the perfect fit for what we were looking for in a photographer. She is so genuine and engaging and I can tell that this is her passion and you can clearly see that passion captured in our photos. The entire process from beginning to end was an absolute dream. Her and her MUA, Avesta, made the effort to make sure our pictures came out exactly how we wanted them. Not to mention MJ was so patient with us as we struggled to narrow down our choices for our maternity and our newborn sessions. I am not kidding when I say that was the HARDEST part. All of them were so amazing! Once we were able to narrow it down, her and her hubby made a special house visit to help get our pictures up on the wall. Like I said, an absolute dream! It’s one thing to just be a talented photographer but it’s entirely another thing to be a talented photographer that cares about her clientele the way MJ does. I started my business, MJ’s Photography, in 2014. My love for my daughter Emma Lyn, ignited my passion for photography.
