I cannot decide which one I like doing best. Being a maternity photographer or a newborn photographer.

There is nothing more exciting than getting to sit down and talk to a new mom or a mom who is having another baby, about what is to come. Nothing in this world is more exciting than talking to someone about bringing another life into this world.

For new moms, its that excitement of the unknown. For moms like Audra, where Virginia is her third baby, it is all about how the siblings will be with the new baby. It is about how life will change so much, for the better of course. It never gets old and its a conversation I love having over and over with different moms during their maternity sessions.

Audra’s maternity session took place in Central Texas. She owns so many acres of gorgeous property. The different shots were endless. This one is one of my favorites, a country sunset.

Audra was absolutely stunning in her portraits. After each gown and pose, I would have a new favorite.

This shot of her on the tree turned out gorgeous! If you guys only knew the struggle behind this image. Thankfully her husband was there to help get her up and down, it was not as easy as it looks! But she was able to sit back, smile, and pull off an amazing maternity picture.

This pose with just the maternity belly is my favorite. I always document this one! Years later, it’s amazing to look back at and picture your little baby all curled up in your belly.

When she was in the eggplant couture gown, I thought it was my favorite. Then she changed into the gold couture gown and I was even more in love. She just radiates beauty.

At the end, she knew she wanted some maternity water shots and I am so glad she did because they turned out amazing!

MJ’s Photography is a Maternity photographer cypress tx.

When I talked to Alexa on the phone before her Maternity session, I knew this session was going to be a lot of fun. Alexa and Charlie didn’t mind going to a location that including hiking, so I just knew it was going to be epic! We were going to hike up to the waterfall in Belton.

Below is one of my favorites shots from Alexa and Charlie’s maternity portrait session.

Of course being Central Texas, the day of their session was hot. Even in the evening, we were sweating. Somehow Alexa managed to keep her makeup perfectly in place and look gorgeous!

I provide the maternity gowns for my clients and Alexa chose the eggplant and the blush pink gown. She chose right, they looked fabulous on her. Below are a few of her in the blush gown.

In Central Texas, there are also some gorgeous streams. We stopped on one on the way up to the waterfall to capture some maternity portraits. I love the outdoor scenery by the stream.

The whole area is gorgeous. It was hard to choose which locations would be best. Here are some more maternity poses on one of the bridges.

At MJ’s Photography I strive to create a custom experience for each client. Each and every one of my maternity clients are unique in their own way. I strive to find each person’s vision and create them just as they imagine.

We stayed at the Belton park until after close. We used up every ounce of light that we could and it was worth it. Their portraits turned out gorgeous. I cannot wait to meet Miss. Macee June in a short couple of weeks and capture her very first breath into the world.

Fulshear maternity photos – MJ’s Photography

Greg and Rian’s Maternity Session – Fulshear maternity photos

Greg and Rian are expecting their first baby in just a few short weeks. They are having a son named Teddy. Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful and amazing moments of a woman’s life. I always get so excited for these belly sessions. I just love the cowboys boots since we are in Texas after all!

My couture gowns are exclusive to MJ’s clients. Rian chose two! The eggplant gown looks absolutely amazing on her. At 34 weeks, she is absolutely glowing and has the perfect baby bump.

Rian chose one of my favorite locations for her maternity portraits. I think it was the perfect location for her maternity portraits.

How perfect are these two? I cannot get over the way Greg is looking at Rian, you can feel their love! Sweet Teddy is going to be showered with so much love.

Rian said her mother wanted to join in on the session and I was so glad. It has to feel so special to see your daughter carrying your grandbaby. I know she cannot wait to spoil him!

How perfect is this chevron gown with cowboy boots for this Texan girl?! What a perfect way to showcase her gorgeous baby bump! And look at that Texas sunset in Houston Texas, you can’t beat that gorgeous sunlight!

Cypress maternity photographer – MJ’s Photography

I am a Cypress maternity photographer. When my little sister told me she was pregnant, my first thought was, “Maternity Session!!!!” We decided to do something a little different and head to downtown Austin. It is around an 3 from Cypress, not to far. She was 36 weeks at her maternity session. We had her session scheduled for a Wednesday, she called me on that Monday and stressed that she needed her session tonight. As in that day. I moved some appointments around and we went to Austin to do her maternity session. She started having contractions at the end of the session. She went into labor that NIGHT and had Kannon the next morning! When you know, you know! I am so glad we were able to get her maternity session done!

Cypress maternity photographer

Are you looking for a maternity photographer in Katy? Let’s talk about photographing your baby bump!

You should try to book your maternity session before 20 weeks, to make sure I have availability! I only book a certain number of maternity sessions a month. Ideally maternity sessions take place between 30-34 weeks. Once you hit 36 weeks, swelling tends to come up, as well as being tired! Some mommas do go earlier than 40 weeks, so 30-34 is usually safer.

I have a large collection of couture gowns and dresses for you to use for your session. You are welcome to do your maternity portraits in studio or outdoors. Most maternity clients want to order custom wall art for their home, so I want it to be perfect for you!

All maternity sessions can include your family! Professional hair and makeup is included for you, as well as use of gowns and dresses! This session is mainly about you and your pregnancy bump, but I love capturing your family with you. It’s a once in a lifetime experience and you want it to be perfect, let me create these for you.

After your maternity session, we will go over your gorgeous images together and select which product suites your needs best. From custom wall art, heirloom albums, and gorgeous printed products, we will find what is best for you.

Cypress family photography

I am a Cypress family photography. I service Central Texas which includes, Katy, Cypress, Fulshear, Weston Lakes, The Woodlands, Conroe, Sugar Land, and Pear Land.

I get a lot of requests to take clients sessions at certain times of the day. I always reply with ” I hold all of my portrait sessions during the Golden hour.” I then explain why. So for people wondering what the Golden hour is and why I choose to shoot then, here you go!

The golden hour is that hour before sunset (or sunrise…but most people do not want to get up that early). It provides that soft, dreamy, golden hazed light that I live for. I love the effect that it gives to my images. Sure some of those can be achieved in photoshop, but it is not the same. The golden hour changes with each season, so there is not an exact time year round.

Are there any exceptions? Sure there are. If it is a cloudy day or if the portraits are going to be taken indoor(I mostly do newborns sessions and sitter sessions indoor). If it is cloudy, the sun will not produce that harsh sunlight, so it is then possible to shoot outside of the golden hour.

Will I really decline a session if the client insists on shooting outside of that time frame? If it is not cloudy, then yes I will. Professional portraits are an investment and are timeless. I strive to make every image worthy of hanging on your wall for years to come and if the lighting is not there, it is limited. If you are going to pass down your family portrait to your children, it deserves to be perfect. I am a family photographer that strives to create that perfect piece of art for your family.

I am going to show a couple sessions that I have taken during the golden hour, here in Killeen, Texas. I will then upload an image that was taken at noon, when the lighting was harsh. If you look for it, you will immediately notice the difference in the skin tone.

Now for the noon session. Notice the shadows, the highlights, and his skin tone. He is still cute, but imagine what the image would like like with amazing light.

MJ- Maternity Sugar land tx

Jessica is having her 4th baby. She has three girls and baby number 4 is…..a BOY! She contacted me to have her very first maternity session done since this was her last baby. This was something that she wanted to do for herself and I am so glad that she did. It was chilly here in Sugar land, but she did not let that get in her way. She put on a couple of my gowns and looked gorgeous in them!
