Fulshear family photographer – MJ’s Photography
I decided today…I do not take enough pictures of Emma Lyn playing…being herself. I am always so busy building my business in Fulshear that I sometimes forget why I even started this. Her. I love what I do, but it is so time consuming. There is no time outside of her and photography. I miss a lot of events, get togethers, and friend time because I want to be successful. I can deal with that. But I cannot deal with missing all of the little moments she provides for me. So I’m not. I will capture more memories of my own daughter. Her silly expressions, her personality, and most of all her heart!
Mom’s have it rough. We want to do something other than be a mom, but when we do, we feel guilty. At least I do. Everyone says we can’t have it both ways. But can we? Can we do both? I think so. I think it is tiresome and I think your free time will be non-existent (not that there was much to begin with.) But I think if you want something, go for it. Our kids are not holding us back, they are why we are doing it! (Don’t worry, I have to keep telling myself that too 😉 )
Here she is today peeping at the neighbors in Fulshear. She swears they have a dinosaur.

Beautiful image of your daughter, its always important to get those candid moments and not just the posed pictures. especially of your own children
I totally here you on the guilt and we all just need to balance! She is a beautiful little girl and as long as she feels loved and safe, you has no reason to feel guilty <3 Beautiful.
Wonderful post. As a mom and photographer I can relate all too well. Beautiful images of your daughter also.
As a mom to be I know I will have mom guilt at some point! As long as they are loved and have the things they need, that’s sooo important!
Oh wow…. She will LOVE this image when she grows up! I love this. So dreamy and airy. I am not a mother yet, but I understand the importance of taking a balance.
