Outdoor portraits are hot in the summer, but we made it work. Lots of sweat, but its a good thing that Avesta is amazing at hair and makeup! It stayed put.

There is nothing like being able to hold a brand new baby. Look how adorable his little feet are! He is less than 24 hours old. I love his wrinkly toes.
Finally the hospitals are allowing some visitors inside! I haven’t been able to do a fresh 48 baby session in a year. That yawn!

Lucca was born On August 6th at 4:30pm! Momma went in after her water broke and she had a relatively easy and fast (easy for child birth anyway). We know it’s not easy!
He is a little over 8lb and the cutest brown hair. Look at that little tongue.

Fresh 48’s are typically done within 48 hours and inside the hospital room. They can be done at home though if you prefer (especially with the rules of the hospitals in Houston, sometimes we have to mix it up). These are different than a typical newborn portrait session because they are not posed. Traditional newborn pictures include the baby being all wrapped up and posed into different positions. I had the honor of meeting this amazing family back in East Texas. Mason is their third baby girl and they wanted me to travel from Houston to Fort Worth to capture this special moment. It was worth the drive, all 3 of these sweet girls did amazing! Could they be more perfect? I love them so much!

Guess how Mason was born? In the truck about 10 minutes from the hospital! Daddy is an ER doctor but couldn’t help because he was driving. They also waited until birth to find out her gender, so cool!

Newborn sessions are done within the first two weeks of birth. Between 9-17 days old is my favorite time to photograph these precious babies. This allows me to capture all of the sleepy poses that you see in my portfolio! Ones like these.

Brothers. A forever best friend. Typically sibling photos are a hit or miss. Either big brother or sister loves holding their new baby or they want nothing to do with them. Adrian LOVES his brother and was all about posing and smiling with his baby brother. Mom had plenty to choose from.
I’m so glad mom decided to get into some portraits as well. She is simply stunning and I adore the color gown she chose to wear.
Mom loved the digital composites during our newborn session consultation beforehand, so I made sure to include a couple of sweet Guancarlo. She chose these two newborn composites and I’m so glad she did.
