Even if it wasn’t your own family, the emotions were soaring. You put yourself into their shoes and you feel what they feel. You start thinking about the past 9 months and how different your own life would have been, if this had been you.
If you haven’t watched one, there is a television series about it called “Coming Home” on Lifetime. Watch it, you will feel the emotion!
The Gregory’s Homecoming was located at Fort Hood, Texas. Andrew left when baby Jack was just 2 months old. He is now almost 11 months old and walking! What a change! This family gave a huge sacrifice. Dad missed these 9 months of Jack’s life. We know how fast little one’s grow in that first year, the milestones that they achieve. Mom had to be a single parent to a newborn and run everything back on the home front. Thank goodness for facetime and skype, but it is not the same. Don’t forget to thank a soldier.
